Brief Update
Boston is far behind us. Tonight we're in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It took a good 6 hours to drive up here, but thankfully the traffic wasn't too ugly, although the incessant rain was annoying.
I've only been here a few hours, so I'm still getting used to everything being in French. My French skills are slim to non-existent (I did Japanese at school), so this should be an interesting experiment. It's making me realise that I've spoilt myself by spending most of my time in English speaking countries. Right now I'm still getting my head around the fact that I really am in a foreign culture. I look at a sign and it takes me a while to work out what it might be about. Perhaps this will teach me to have a bit more empathy for non-English literate foreigners.
We're spending the next 2 nights in a place called the Alternative Backpackers. It seems pretty interesting so far, all art hung walls and rooms named by colour.
Well, the eyes are starting to sting and my ability to focus is starting to fail so I best make my way to the top bunk. Updates are waiting in the wings, but I'm thinking that they may have to wait a few days until we hit Toronto (right now that looks likely to be around Thursday, June 8). My cell phone is receiving again, but no messages waiting. Guess that means they don't store them for you?

Agree on the English countries being a bit too easy to travel in. I am doing Asia the cheater's way by being in Singapore.

Well it could be that... except that I know for a fact that my ex-housie Jae was sending them through when he was doing the East coast last month. Or maybe I just am unloved...
How is your Singlish coming along Clare?

Hi Ben, you finally made it to Toronto. Going from Montreal to TO you will have passed by Kingston, where I lived for a number of years, going to Queens U.
